Only 33 days left!

So in 5 short weeks, Jaren and I will be getting married. There is so much to do, mainly because we are having a big reception! Right now we have about 300 people invited and the list is still growing!

Planning is so much fun, especially since My mommy and I are doing it together, but it sure is hard being far away from Jaren (especially when I need his help with something!!!)

Wedding Planning

So here I am, busily planning our wedding, and I'm going crazy. Not about the plans, but about people saying they can't come (siblings). It's very frustrating. Anyway, I'm so excited because I'm having my wedding dress made for me from this pattern, the one with the roses (sleeves and rounded neck & back added too).



Over Thanksgiving break, my computer hard drive crashed, and the worst thing that could happen to a bride in planning happened, I lost ALL of my wedding stuff. It was frustrating but luckily Jaren and I had emailed everything to each other! Of course, we didn't get everything back, but the majority of things, which was good.



On Facebook, Jaren's cousin put up picture of Jaren when they were little. SO CUTE!!!




Also, along with the theme of cute pictures, I had my new nephew born on December 12th! His name is Taylor Benjamin Phillips!!!





Anyway, there are a lot of things that have been happening and I am SO EXCITED because there are only 42 DAYS until Jaren and I get married!!!

We're getting married!!

After having the flu since Sunday, I'm finally out of the house, so I wanted to post up my favorite engagement pictures!

I was checking on here today and realized that the last time that I posted anything was in AUGUST!!  

Well school's been going well, and life has been also for both Jaren and I.

Packing...

So I'm moving all of my stuff (except the essentials) to Fort Collins on Saturday!  But of course I've been sick and feeling like i have the flu, so I have nothing packed!!  But after I went to my therapist today, my mom and I came home and she decided to go through the entire kitchen and give me EVERYTHING that she didn't want.  I'm so excited and happy!!!  I like all the stuff she gave me and it's all awesome!   :)   

Then tonight my dad and I went to Target and got kitchen and cleaning things!!  So I am SO SO SO excited to be moving up there and everything!!  

Ok, well I don't have much else to say, but I'll definitely keep ya'll updated if anything new comes up!

I just finished watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics!  It was the most amazing thing that I have ever seen before in my life!  China really went all out for it!!

Rain, Rain...I love Rain...

It is POURING rain outside right now! We also have a flash flood warning! EEK!  I love rain and how beautiful it is, especially now since we need it!  I just hope that it doesn't flood!!!

I'm also sick, I've been throwing up, probably because I ate so much stuff yesterday and today that's not good for me.  :(  I have to go to the doctor's on the 18th, to schedule times for me to get tested for different things,  to find out what's wrong with me!  

Yesterday I signed my lease for the duplex!  I was worried that I wasn't going to find a roommate also, but I did!  The girl who will be rooming with me, is someone who I grew up with.  She was going to BYU and she is now transferring to CSU!  So things all worked out, even though I was freaking out that it wouldn't!  I'm trying not to stress over things too much, like I did with finding a place, so I'm trying to think of different ways that I could try to stress less!  Also, my cognitive therapist is helping me a ton with that, giving me worksheets of ideas that I can try and stuff like that! :D  

Ok, so here's a picture of me when I was younger, just because I wanted to!!!  Basically now, besides having fun with pictures, I'm just watching a movie, and trying not to feel as sick.  And I'm trying to organize things on my computer and have a little bit of fun, since I don't feel well.

I'm so excited!

So yesterday after church, Jaren and I went up to Fort Collins to meet a guy named Richard to show us the duplex we missed out on seeing the other day.  W

ell turns out we are getting it and I am SO EXCITED!  After Jaren dropped me off today, he then took back our new end table and some boxes of my stuff!  And then just a little bit

 ago I got a new twin bed, so now I have a bunk bed and two mattresses for me and a roommate until we get married!

So last night I drove up to Fort Collins to check out this amazing place that sounded so perfect for us!  Unfortunately I had no clue where the place was, Jaren wasn't answering his phone, and he didn't show up.  So I went to his work and stole him away...and we missed our meeting.  But it's all ok now, we rescheduled and everything seems fine...I hope it will all work out!  OK I know it will all work out!  

Tomorrow is going to be an awesome day!  Jaren is coming up here and we are going to have a garage sale and then have dinner with some friends, and then see a movie!  Then Sunday he's going to go to church with me (and probably get the 3rd degree from tons of my friends).  

Right now wedding planning has been put on hold until we can find me a place to live, especially since school starts in Three weeks!  

So today I'm going through the house cleaning and getting things ready for the garage sale!  I hope it won't be too hot tomorrow, because today is a scorcher!  

I HAVE to have less stress or else...

So I went to my therapist today (for my memory) and got a ton of great tips for remembering and how to manage everything and it was great.  Then she told me that if I didn't get my stress under control, then I wouldn't get better as fast.  Well then we left and decided since I've been getting sick, to go see my new doctor.  So I went in and we discussed tons of stuff, and then I gave blood and stuff and now we have to schedule a colonoscopy.  Basically they think I might have Chron's Disease like my mom has.  So yeah...Anyway, so Jaren and I are now trying to find a place to live, which is the source of all my stress right now! lol.

Ok so I wanted to add on this amazing dress that I fell in love with!  Plus It's only $208!  The back is opened a bit, but my mom said that we could modify it - I think it's worth it!

So yesterday I was looking at other dresses, just for fun and to see if I could find my dress for cheaper and I ran across some interesting pictures!  I saw the one and had to look at it closer.  I then called my dad over and asked him who it looked like.  He looked at the picture a minute and then said, "What are you doing in a wedding dress?"  It was crazy because it seriously looked like me!  Then later last night I sent them to Jaren and told him it was me and he never said differently..which was kinda sad.lol.

Okey day ya'll!  So I feel that I could conquer the world today!  I have my dress picked out, well I've had it picked out for a very long time because I love it!  It's called Brazil, which is funny because Jaren went on his mission to Brazil.  I only realized the name after I picked it out, which was an awesome coincidence!  

I don't really have much to say today so far...We're going to have a pretty long engagement, since we're not getting married until next year (my sister-in-law is due in December and she's one of my bridesmaids!)  

The point being, we have time to get things figured out.  I'm full speed ahead right now though, because once school starts again, we're going to be swamped and I know things could possibly get lost in all of it.  

Well...I hope to get thoughts about the dress back!  :)

Ok so I'm 

watching the tv as I write this and I just saw a new Burger King commercial.  It was a mom trying to get her daughter to eat an apple, but her daughter wouldn't until the Burger King Guy came in with apple slices shaped as fries.  It made me

 very sad to see that - I mean if the only way kids will eat fruit now is to shape it to look like fries, that is not good.

ost pulled my hair out last night!  Before I left for Italy, we had

 finally gotten into a good routine.  The kids were finally saying please and thank you and we were getting used to how things 

were working.  Well I was gone for two weeks and yesterday when I c

ame back they were not very good.  The 4 year old girl was very sassy and crying over nothing, she was tired and not u

sed to not getting whatever she wanted.  The 2 year old boy was actually ok, the only thing he did wrong was throw grass at a neighbor kid.  Overall it

 wasn't horrible, I just was sad because we had gotten into a good routine and now we have 

to almost start all over again!  lol.  I love them though!!!! 

So today should be a good day and I'm excited!  I get to help my mommy make dinner for the missionaries and that will be fun.  I LOVE to cook!  We are cooking an Italian dish, and it makes me miss Italy so much!  I'm hoping that I can go back with Jaren next summer!

And the stress begins...

So in May/June, I was offered an apartment to live in, which was awesome because it's a 3 bedroom apartment for $250 a person/month.  And since it's about a 15 minute walk from campus, it's not bad at all.  So I decided to ask Jaren whether or not I should go for it, since we'd been talking about marriage.  He said not to, but then after a week or so, he told me to sign the lease.  Well now I have a problem...I'm not officially stuck in my year long lease, but once I pay, then I am.  So I talked things over with my parents and they brought up a brilliant idea.  They said that we should find someone now to replace me, before I owe money for the apartment, and then find an apartment where Jaren and I would like to live after we're married.  So I told Jaren this and we are now both frantically searching for someone to take my place with the apartment.  I feel really bad because Jaren is having to do most of the work, because he's actually in Fort Collins, and I'm in Aurora still.  

I know everything will work out, but figuring out details is much harder when you are not around each other in person!  Also trying to decide on a date is hard, because we are trying to cater to everyone's wants and needs, but at the same time we both feel that we need to do what is best and easiest for us.  Dates are being thrown around left and right, but I'll let everyone know when we know!

So the first few days of being engaged have been very interesting.  There are so many details to think about and picking a wedding date is harder than I thought!!  My family is spread out all over and my sister-in-law is expecting a baby, so things are difficult to figure out, especially since we want everyone there!  

Jaren and I are in two different cities, which also makes things a little more difficult.  I bet things will be a lot easier after I move to Fort Collins!  

So this picture was taken a few minutes after Jaren asked me to marry him!  It was quite funny because he ripped his pants while kneeling down!!  It was hilarious!  I am so excited to be engaged to the man I love!!  

Italy and Engagement

So I spent the first two week on July in Urbino, Italy for a music course.  I got back on the 16th of July and was surprised the next day with an engagement from Jaren!
