Baby stuff!!

Today I was getting ready to sew the curtains for the baby's room, or the chair pad for the rocking chair, and realized that for both projects, I was missing some pieces. I need 2 zippers for the chair pad and I need a backing for the curtains. So what I could have done quickly today will have to wait until another day...

So instead, Jaren and I cleaned up the baby's room and then I decided to take pictures of everything we have so far for the baby (especially since we need to get it into gear on getting things ready - especially since time is definitely going to go fast now)

Lots and lots of onesies from my Mother in Law!

The beautiful and SUPER COMFY blanket that my Sister-in-Law & Brother (Krystal & Ben) got for me & baby for Christmas!

These are finger puppets that my dear friend, Christina, made for baby and gave to the baby for Christmas!!

This was a pack of onesies that Krystal and Ben got for baby for Christmas too!!

We have one boy bumper (trucks), one girl bumper (Precious Moments angels, which I'm sure we could use for either boy or girl...baby won't care lol), Sheets, Precious Moments mobile, a breathable crib bumper, and animal noises toy (I found it at ARC, our family had one growing up)

Wall decoration that was mine when I was little

This was mine too and I love it dearly!

So that was fun for me to look at all we have gotten so far, of course there's the car seat and strollers that I didn't take pictures of too.

Now time to relax and hope that school is cancelled tomorrow (HA HA yeah right). I've been sick and don't really want to go tomorrow, but I really need to...

24 Weeks - 6 months!!

So I made it to 24 weeks, baby could be born and has a greater chance of survival, in a NICU of course, than before. Is it normal to be having dreams of what we'd do if the baby did come early? I do have a plan for just in case. My dad works in the NICU down in Denver, so of course we'd take the baby down there because they send them there anyway before 36 weeks. And we'd still have time to get a nursery in order, because the baby would be in the NICU. So it's good to have a plan in mind, even if it's not an elaborate one, rather than to just worry and not have any idea of what to do.

Not sure if any of that made sense, but please bear with me as I am very sick today. I spent half the night up and coughing my lungs out and having trouble breathing and a severely dry throat too. Weird combo in my opinion and the more water I drink the more my throat feels more dry. Weird... But I'm not dehydrated at least!!

It's funny how when you are sick, you want everything clean but you don't have the energy to do it. Also, I've been so kind as to pass it on to Jaren too so we are having to take care of each other right now... At least I had enough energy to strip the bed and put the sheets in to wash and get new ones on and maybe later I'll feel up to lysoling the house or something like that.

I guess to me I don't really look 6 months pregnant. I think I look pregnant, but not 6 months. And I keep getting told that I don't look pregnant at all (I'm guessing they just think I'm getting fat lol)...

But the scariest part for me is that I haven't gained any weight still. I got scared half to death today when I stepped on the scale and it said I'd lost 5 pounds! But tried it again (not on carpet..lol...) and I was where I normally am. But then I do have to think about it in this way. I have been working out and I did lose 10 pounds early on, so I guess you could say I've gained 8-10 back? If I look at it that way, I don't feel as bad. But I have my next appointment next Tuesday and I'm still the weight I was at my last appointment. I guess as long as the baby is the size the baby should be, then I shouldn't worry :)

So here is my picture. And I'm thinking my mirror lies to me. LOL.

23 Week Update

So school has started and things have been hectic, but luckily manageable. I'm taking 12 credits in school, and working about 15 hours a week. Jaren is also in school taking 14 credits and working about 30 - 35 hours a week. Plus we are taking an institute class together 2 days a week. It's so much fun being able to do that together. We usually get to spend a few hours in the morning together in between classes on MWF and then 2 hours (w/ institute class included) on TTH. So we at least get some time together, especially since I work until 5 and Jaren works from 4 to 10!

Anyway, fun news! Yesterday I was 23 weeks and last night was the first time that I have been able to feel the baby from the outside!! ANnNnND Jaren felt the baby more than he ever has before. Baby was very active last night! It was very exciting for us :)

So now on to the picture of me...

I've been kinda sad that I don't have a big belly yet and people keep telling me that I don't even look pregnant, so before I took my picture, I made sure to eat lots of rice LOL. I look big! Then of course today I wore cute clothes and my bump was gone :'( It's actually really funny. I'm still trying to gain weight, and it's not working out too well for me. Still negative my pre-pregnancy weight, but at least the doctors said the baby is the right size and everything is fine. So we'll see when I'll start to gain.

So here are my pictures from last night :)
