Read and Rant
Check out my Creative blog, where I'm trying to put my crafty things primarily. Check it out Here. I put up a picture of Devlin's costume and a yummy treat to make!
Now for the rant part :)
Today is chilly and snowy, which is totally fine. The president of CSU sent an email out yesterday before it even started to snow essentially stating that he would not be closing CSU today. I found it to be a funny email, but also jerky because he already made up his mind and didn't even wait to see how bad it was.
Last night our trees were bending down almost touching the ground and a few neighbors were already losing branches. Well this morning, we had lost about 3 branches that had fallen into our yard and the whole city looks a mess (branches everywhere, and some falling into the street as people drive!) CSU sent an email stating that they were staying open, but to not park or walk under trees. Anyone who has been to Fort Collins will know that there are literally trees everywhere!! In the span of about 2 minutes walking to class this morning I heard about 5-6 trees snap. I also witnessed someone also get hit by a huge falling tree. It was ridiculous!!
Anyway the point of my rant is that they should wait until they actually see the snow and what it's doing before making a decision and not to make one before anything even happens. I really don't have a problem with going to school in snow, but the branches falling everywhere is just so dangerous!
Here is a picture of the oval, which they had to close down because of all the branches falling into the road and sidewalks.

Maybe it's time...
I need to start taking care of myself more and being "selfish" in a sense. I came to this realization yesterday after I spent the night in the ER. I have been sick this last week and have been suffering from back pain for the last 3-4 months. At my doctor's, she felt my back and told me it was my SI joint that was hurting me (no urine tests or any other tests), so I believed her. It's been getting worse over time, and my gut feeling Friday night was that I needed to be seen, but I didn't go in...
After a terrible day on Saturday and not being able to move without being in intense pain (almost as bad as my back labor with Dev), Jaren called a nurse hotline and explained what was going on. They recommended that we get in as soon as possible, and preferably to go to the ER, so we did. My in-laws were able to take Dev for the night and we went in...
We were there for only a little while because it was not busy, which was nice. I ended up being diagnosed with a UTI, and we found that my pelvis never went back into place correctly after having Dev and that is why I am having the intense pain in my back. I was so glad that it's nothing worse, but also glad that they found out why it's happening. I am now on medicine for both and I'm trying to adjust to it. Unfortunately one of them is making me throw up (UGH!), but I'd rather throw up than feel horrible pain!
So now my only food friends are buttered noodles, crackers, and ginger ale.

Ready for a break!
The cycle of life continues with working on school and home tasks and trying to teach my wonderful toddler about life. Stress comes in and out of my life several times a day and sometimes it really just stinks; one stress-free day would be fabulous!
Jaren and I are halfway done with this semester and I couldn't be happier with that knowledge. I will be graduating in the Spring and that makes me even happier! I really just want to be able to spend time with my son and not have to deal with school deadlines. I'd love to have more energy to go out and do things at the library and around town, just for fun. But for now, I am a student/Stay at home mom.
The joy that has been brought into my life recently is being crafty! Jaren and I have made a few Halloween decorations recently and we had a ton of fun. I am also currently working on our Halloween costumes and I am so excited :) Once I'm done I will be posting the pictures.
I am ready for a break and some 'me' time. I've been so unorganized lately and I need a refresher. Does it have something to do with trying to give up drinking pop and eating sugar? Probably. My body got way too used to that artificial stuff and now it's rebelling against me. Sticking it out will help me more than me "Where is my sugar" self thinks. Well, I hope everyone stays well with the weather changing!
Ta ta for now!

Cool Discovery
Today I discovered Picasa and I created the new Header for the blog.
Now for the name change. Every time I hear my last name, of course I think of already and I like the idea of us already being 'here'. I know that sometimes I think "Oh I can't wait for the next part of our lives when things are easier", etc. You have to think that we are here now and we need to enjoy our lives as they happen and not look only to the future for happiness. Happiness is here and now and We're Allredy There!
We are now 4 weeks into school, so about a fourth of the way done. I have not missed a single class because I have not been sick at all (I am willing myself to stay healthy and hope that I'm not jinxing it!) School seems to be going well for both of us. I have 2 on campus classes and two institute classes; Jaren has 4 campus classes and one institute class.
Jaren has moved from the Bakery dept. to the Deli - his pay is raised by almost $2 an hour! He also has found another part time job that uses him when they need him; it is a custom door place where is actually using his skills for the profession that he is wanting to do.
I am busy keeping up with the house and Devlin, who is learning so fast. Devlin is 15 months now and loves to talk, run, jump, terrorize the cats and play with the dog! I love him so much and I'm so proud to be his mother.
I'm excited for life right now and I love the feeling of change that fall is bringing.

My new toy for only $5!!
I'm so glad I went to ARC today because I found a great deal!
I found a Xyron Personal Cutting System, hardly used with carrying case, 11 books, instruction manuals, etc. for $5! They had it priced at $10, but it was 50% off.
I looked up what it goes for new and with all the books, which range from $20 - $30 each, it would be $345 - $435 for all that I got.
The System is similar to a Cricut and Die Cut Machines. I'm really excited to start using it!!
